One of the most popular performing groups under the Chamber Players' umbrella, The Staten Island Chamber Music Players String
Quartet has performed together for nearly twenty years in locations such as Avery Fisher Hall, United Nations Plaza, Fraunces
Tavern, Old Westbury Gardens, the Battlefield Music Festival in New Jersey, Sokol Arts Center in Greenwich, Connecticut, and
in many other locations throughout the metropolitan area.
Individual members of the quartet have received degrees from the Manhattan School of Music, Northern Illinois University,
Oberlin College, Barnard College and Columbia University. Their orchestral affiliations include Opera Orchestra of New York,
The American Festival Orchestra in Italy, the Caracas Venezuela Philharmonic, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the St. Cecilia
Orchestra and Oslo Radio Orchestra, Montclair Chamber Ensemble adn the New York Philharmonic.
As music educators, the performers have taught at Wagner College, the Music Institute of the SI Jewish Community Center,
the Brooklyn College Preparatory Center for the Performing Arts, Turtle Bay Music School, 92nd Street Y School of Music, Music
Prep at Montclair State College, Greater Newark Youth Orchestra, and in their own private music studios.
